こんにちは。
ドイツ在住、ソムリエエクセレンスのなーなです。
難易度が高すぎる問題
今年こそエクセレンス試験合格したい。
けど、過去問チラ見したら
手も足も出ないレベルで難しい！！
出題者に合格者を出す気があるのか疑わしくなるレベル。。。
そう感じている方もたくさんいるはずです。
私も受験時そうでした。
焦って、「エクセレンス対策」と名のつくあらゆるものに課金しまくっていました。
合格者の実績からみるコツ
ですが、自らの実体験と
WBSで合格者さんの取り組みを見ていて
もっともっと、効率が良くて確実な方法がある！
というのも実感しています。
今日はそのお話をしたいと思います。
まず、大前提に
今からお伝えすることに裏技的なものはありません。
「これさえやっておけばすぐに得点出来る！」
という幻想は捨ててください。
地道。コツコツ。継続。
これが一番の近道です。そして、最後まで諦めないで続ける。進む。
そして、頑張るのは何よりも自分自信。
「これが分かった！覚悟あります！」
という方だけこの先読み進めてください。
メンドクサ！！
と感じた方は、高額ワインスクールなどに課金しまくってください。
合格までの道すじの計画を立てる
みなさんの持っている時間は平等です。
やるべきこと、ゴールは決まっていますので
ゴールをどうやって目指すか？が要になってきます。
私は合格までの道のりは登山のようなものだと思っています。
一次試験合格が8合目であれば、最終合格が頂上。
一次試験が8合目と言いましたが、そのくらい一次試験は難関で重要です。
8合目まで上り詰めるルールとして、飛行機などの飛び道具はありません。
足で歩いて登るしかありません。
時間も決まっています。
どうやって8合目までを登るか？
ここで登山ルートや必要な道具を揃える必要があります。
過去問が大切な理由
私自身、過去問に何回かチャレンジすることをおすすめしていますが
これは自分の現在地と8合目まではどの位置にあるのかを確認するための作業だと捉えてください。
解けないから
自分には能力がない、頭が悪い、要領が悪い、、、
など自分を責める要因にしないでください。
一番下から8合目までは見えるはずがありません。
ですが、６、7合目くらいまでいけば見えるはずです。
教本との付き合い方
ソムリエ協会の教本はガイドブックだと捉えてください。
各国ごとに単元が異なれば、それを順番にこなすだけです。
手帳を用意して学習スケジュールを立ててください。
逆算して、毎日何キロ歩けば目的地までたどり着けるか？
計画を立てますよね。
それと全く同じです。
逆に計画が立てば、ルートはきまったようなものなので
- 後は毎日歩き続けるためのルーティン（継続力が大切。無理しないで続けられる範囲）
- 登山のための道具（自分にとって使いやすいノートや単語帳）
この２つが揃えば
ここをコツコツこなしていくだけで合格はかなり間近です。

エクセレンス試験の合格を目指している方には何よりも心強いアイテムがあります。
一般呼称合格時の成功体験
これが一番の強みです。
最初に勉強したときの勉強の仕方や自分にあっていた勉強方法。
エクセレンスの過去問が難しすぎて心が折れるようでしたら、
まずは一般呼称の練習問題を何回も解いてください。
私もエクセレンス試験の過去問や予想問題が難しすぎて
まずは、一般呼称からやり直しました。
忘れていることも多すぎて焦りますが、
間違えたところはチャンス。再度単語帳に入れたりなどすれば武器が増えます。
