こんにちは。WBSの前場です。
1月7日に放映された2024芸能人格付けチェック、面白かったですよね。
僕はワインチャンネルを運営していて、ライブ配信でワインのパートを視聴者様と見ていました。
正解はAで、最初に画面を見たときはBかと思ったのですが、その後の演者さんのコメントなどを見るとおそらくAだと思い、Aと予想したところ、正解はAだったということになります。
ライブ配信でしたから、結果を見て言っているわけではなく、画面越しではありましたが香りや味わいを確かめなくてもある程度推測ができますし、コメントを見ると多くの人が途中の段階でAだと判断されていました。
2024年度のワインはシャトールパン1995年で、昨年度はシャトーペトリュスでしたので2年連続ポムロール地区からの出題でした。
結論を言うと今回はお題のワインではないほうのワイン(5000円の方)が明らかに色調が濃く、紫が強いのでわかりやすいお題だったのではないかと考えています。
僕も含めてほとんどの方が気になるのがガクトさんの回答でしょう。ガクトさんはもちろん正解していました。
ここでガクトさんになった気分で、どうやってAとBを見抜いたのかを検討してみましょう。
なお、記事内容の信頼性のために簡単に自己紹介します。

【芸能人格付けチェック2024ワイン】ガクトさんがルパンを当てた心理を分析
シャトールパン1995
今回のお題のワインはシャトールパン Chateau Le Pin 1995年でした。
Pinは”松”の意味で、昔松が生えていたところをブドウ畑にしたところからこの名前がついたとされています。
もともとポムロール地区は伝統的にヴューシャトーセルタンVIEUX CHATEAU CERTANが評価をされていて、今ほど世界的な評価を受けるワインが集中する地区ではありませんでした。
1980年代以前はボルドーワインと言えばメドックを中心とする左岸エリア、もしくはサンテミリオンのほんのいくつかの高級ワインが知られていて、それでも今ほどの価格ではありませんでした。
ワインの価値はネゴシアンと呼ばれる生産者と消費者の間にいる仲買人が決めるようなところがあって、今とは比べ物にならないくらいに情報は少なく、ブラックボックスの様な状況だったのです。
ところが1980年代に入って台頭したワインジャーナリストが個別のワインの評価をわかりやすく、一般の消費者にも届きやすい形で紹介し始めます。
これまで難しく難解な言葉で表現されていたワインが、わかりやすい点数方式で評価をするロバートパーカーという人物が世界的なワイン評論家として君臨することになります。
この人物が掘り起こす形で右岸エリアのワインは俄然注目をされ、その中でも特に高い評価を受けたのが今回のお題のワインのシャトールパンだったのです。
画面越しに見たワインの分析
パッと見てすぐに視聴者さんとともに分かったのが、ワインの外観です。
Aのワインは色調が明るくややオレンジがかり、Bは逆に非常に濃く、かつ、粘着性が高いことがわかりました。
香りを嗅げないのでこうなると推測するしかないのですが、この段階でかなりAは熟成が進み、Bはまだ若いワインなのではないかとわかります。
このように考えると正解の1995年のワインはもう30年近くたっているから熟成が進んでいるだろうと踏まえ、すぐにAを特定したくなるものかもしれませんが、まだわからないです。
というのも熟成条件がわからないので、仮に1995年のワインであったとしても低温で保管され、移動が少ない場合はかなり手堅くゆっくり熟成されるからです。
また、お題以外のワインは5000円のワインということなので、これがボルドーワインなのかどうかもわかりません。
カリフォルニアかもしれないし、フランスの別の産地かもしれないし、カベルネソーヴィニョンでもメルローでもないかもしれません。
さらに、今どき5000円でも十分に美味しいワインを探すことはできますし、ブラインドで出されたら本当に高級ワイン顔負けのワインもあるところにはあります。
・・・ただし・・・若いワインで美味しいワインを探すことはできても、5000円で美味しくて、かつ、”熟成が進んだワイン”を探すのは難しいです。
そのため、外観の段階で7割程度Aではないかと推測するのが合理的な判断でしょう。
演者さんのコメントによる香りと味わいの分析
次に演者さんのコメントから分析をしてみましょう。
ガクトさんはAのワインを味わった瞬間に熟度という言葉を口にされていました。
1995年のファインワインになるとフィネスと言って、熟成によって味わい・香りのあらゆる要素が混然一体となる最高の誉め言葉があります。
これをガクトさんが意味していたのかは分からないですが、少なくとも熟度ということばの段階で外観はもちろん味わいもかなりこなれていて洗練されたものではないかということが観てわかります。
さらに、ほかの演者さんからはAのほうが香りが強いという言葉がありました。
本来は色合いが強いと香りも強くなりやすいので、そのまま素直にうけとるとBの方が香りが強くなる傾向があります。
ところがAの方が色合いが明るいにも関わらずBよりもAの方が香りが強いというかたがいたので、この段階でほぼAが決まりです。
さらに別の演者さんはBのワインの味わいを「舌がびりびりする」と表現していました。
おそらく渋味や酸味が強くて、これが舌を刺激してびりびりする、といったのでしょう。
ここまでくるとAが確定です。
ガクトさんがAだと思った根拠
正直、演者さんのコメント聞くと今回のお題は分かりやすく、判別はしやすかったはずです。ガクトさんも同じ感想でしょう。
というのも今回のお題のワインは1995年のルパンという、銘柄もヴィンテージも最上級のもので、熟成についてもピークのワインだからです。
これが仮にピークアウトしたワインだったり、あるいはルパンであっても若いヴィンテージの場合は判別が極端に難しくなります。
ピークアウトしたワインは香りも味わいも極端にトーンが下がり、逆に若いワインはまだ魅力を発揮できていない場合があるからです。
また、今回のお題はBがかなりわかりやすいワインのようでしたので、Aである程度の判別をしたのちにBのワインを飲むことで確信が持てたのではないかと思います。
まとめ 画面越しでも分析はできる
いかがでしたでしょうか。画面越しでもなんとかくらいついて分析をしようと思えば出来るのがお分かりになったと思います。
これはもちろん、正解がルパン1995だとわかっているから出来るもので、銘柄がわからなければさすがにお手上げです。
ですが、演者さんのコメントも含めて画面越しの情報だけでも何となく推測はすることができますし、今回のライブ配信で結論までのプロセスがリアルタイムで体感できたのではないかと思います。
これまではただの高級ワイン、ただの有名ワインということで驚きもあるかもしれませんが、これだけではやはり物足りないし、番組を100％以上楽しめたとは言えないかもしれません。
踏み込んでみると画面越しの情報だけでも格付けチェックをした気分になれますし、おそらく今回のライブ配信で楽しみが倍増した方も多かったと思います。
